Heads up, Tarrigindi. Now that the sting has been taken out of this awful Brisbane winter, what better way to spend this Sunday than relaxing in the sun, exploring some market stalls, and listening to live music with a cold drink from the bar?

The Wellers Hill State School Parents and Citizens Association is proud to announce that Harmonies on the Hill is back again in 2017.

"We are so excited that we can once again put on an amazing fete showcasing our school's exceptional musical talent, whist providing so much fun and entertainment for kids and adults alike. We are calling this year's fete 'Tarragindi's own Ekka'. We want people to come and enjoy our own small scale festival where there's something for everyone, in our handy local area."



Food

There will be the usual carnival favourites like fairy floss and lollies, hot chips and slushies, but in the food court you'll also be able to find a sausage sizzle, sushi, haloumi wraps, pork rolls, nachos and German sausages.

Market stalls

Be sure to visit the gourmet food stalls and buy some home-made goodies to take home and enjoy. How about some cakes, sweets or jams and pickles? Don't forget the art & craft stall for some lovely home-made gifts or pick up a bargain in the Preloved Toys, Books and Nearly New Clothes stalls.



Music

Two main music programs will run throughout the day; there will be various bands playing near the bar, ranging from traditional bands and individuals, to a ukulele reggae band, all performing covers of popular songs from The Beatles to Nirvana.

The Wellers Hill students will also be performing, with all Years being represented:

Raffles and Silent Auction

Many generous community members and local businesses have donated goods and services to the fete. There are almost too many to mention, but among the top prizes are :

There will be a great selection of side show attractions for kids big and small, plus an animal farm, show bags and much more.

A great tip for the rides; log on to Flexischools to purchase discounted ride passes. Anyone can take advantage of this offer, you don't need to be a student or family of a student (these discount passes need to be purchased by 5pm Saturday 5th of August). Just enter "Wellers Hill State School" in the search field, and the ride passes will be at the bottom of the list.
