Looking for a real buzz? A sucker for the sweet stuff? Then make like a bee to a honeypot and hit the road for the twin towns of Harden-Murrumburrah which are nestled in the Hilltops region about an hour and a half from Canberra. There, you'll find , a gem of a store bursting with an amazing selection of honey and bee-related goodies.

You'll know you've found it when you spot the giant beehive on the roof - the honeycomb tiles and bright yellow window displays are hard to miss too. Step inside and the smell of honey will smack you in the face like a pollen filled flower on a windy day. The rich, sweet smell is intoxicating and the sensory experience doesn't stop there. As well as a riot of vivid displays for your eyes, there is a wall of honey with tasting encouraged.

Much of the honey is produced locally but there are also some varieties from further afield - there are useful labels on the tasting wall explaining where the honey is from, which flowers the bees were getting busy in to make it and, similar to a wine tasting guide, what type of flavours, strength and colour you'll find in the honey. The sheer variety of flavours is amazing and a real foodie experience.

Of course, there are plenty of other things to look at too including beeswax candles, soap, honey pots and a whole swarm of bees: bee clothes, shoes, umbrellas, raincoats, hats, books, toys, ornaments and crockery. Bees, bees BEES. This shop is so much fun to look around and a unique little country town experience guaranteed to leave you smiling!
