Harajuku Gyoza is one of the few eateries that I've visited multiple times in multiple locations. It continues to reinvent its menu and with every visit, I've been surprised by some of the many options on their menu.

They have two locations in Sydney: one in Potts Point and one beside the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Darling Harbour.

This visit records our experience in the Beer Stadium Harajuku beside ICC. In fact, some of the seating (though often closed off) resembles a stadium (with seating on different levels). There are also huge barrels filled with what I believe, to be beer?

This visit I was pleased to see a Matcha Kit Kat Gyoza on the menu, and let's just say, I ordered it! We'll get to this a little bit later.

The gyozas have been consistently high quality with ample filling and a crispy exterior.

In this visit, we ordered the lemongrass chicken gyoza, pork gyoza, cheeseburger gyoza and of course, the Matcha Kit Kat gyoza.

The lemongrass chicken gyoza seemed like an odd combination and I was not particularly fond of it. However, the grilled pork gyoza was fantastic as usual with ample pork filling. The cheeseburger gyoza was a unique dish (without sauce, it tasted almost exactly like a cheeseburger from McDonald's). With sauce, it was tolerable.

We also ordered two cucumber sides with miso dressing. Though its simplicity would usually have rendered me disappointed, the miso dressing was a perfect addition to the fresh cucumber.

The Matcha Kit Kat Gyoza was the highlight of this visit. Its filling was warm (made with the melting of matcha kit kat). Its exterior was deep fried and the combination of these two elements made for a unique experience.

At full price, I doubt I'd be a regular attendee at Harajuku. It is not exactly the most filling and satisfying experience at its price point. However, the gyozas are spot on and special menu items draw a large crowd.
