Kick off your weekend (or next week) with these healthy, soothing nuggets of oats, bananas, almond meal and honey or maple. They taste yummy, you'll feel good after devouring the last crumb, and they keep beautifully in the fridge.

One bowl recipes make your life so easy and these are really simple, so even if you're not a cook or you don't like cooking or baked anything before, you'll be able to make these. They're that simple.

And they last for ages, so you'll always have something delicious, warm or cold, to satisfy hunger or sweet cravings, without all the sugar that goes with usual sugar-laden cookies or baked treats.

2 cups rolled oats
1 cup almond meal
3 tablespoons oat-bran
Dash sea salt
1 egg
2 mashed, ripe bananas
4 tablespoons maple syrup (or honey if you prefer)
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (genuine, not substitute)

Oven 190 degrees.

Place rolled oats, almond meal, oat-bran and salt in a mixing bowl.

In another bowl, mix together the egg, bananas, honey or maple, butter and vanilla. Stir into dry ingredients and mix well.

Scoop into balls and place on a tray covered in baking paper.

Bake 20 minutes or until light brown. Cool on wire rack. Store in fridge.
