Who doesn't like a Happy Ending? Especially around dinner time?

Just one month old, has all the Concord locals filling the shop to sample their great burgers and they are delicious enough to ensure return trips.

Please note their opening hours are:
Wednesday - Saturday 5:30pm-10:00pm
Sunday 5:30pm - 9:30pm

We arrived there at around 5:33pm and already there was a queue at the front door and the cash register was 'dinging' non-stop. Talk about hyped-up popularity!

The interior of Happy Ending Burger is very simple with some graffiti signage, paint-washed brick walls, simple IKEA-style wooden benches tables and a purple naked neon light sign hanging on the wall. The interior 'design' is very bare, so I guess the focus is on the burgers. It is more like a takeaway place, rather than a sit-down diner, however, there are a few tables outside if you can not wait.

The menu is not extensive, with only four types of burgers on offer, but I was told the burgers are delicious enough to satisfy the fussiest of palates. You will need to order your burger at the front counter with one of the friendly staff and it's cash-only.

Our first burger was 'The Bonus Round' and it looked and tasted like Macca's Big Mac, but with a gourmet edge. They used a dry-aged beef patty and then grilled it medium rare to perfection. There was a lot of goodness starting from the melted cheese to the tomato, onion, pickles and that special No.5 sauce. The thinly sliced Spanish onion added some crunch and lightness - it will satisfy those who like the addition of fresh vegetables. The soft sweet bun held the whole burger well. As soon as I bit into this burger, I knew I was consuming one of the best cheeseburgers in Sydney.

Our next burger, 'The Anxiety in NYC', had beef patty, American cheese, tarragon bacon mayo, mushroom duxelle and confit shallots, all encased in a soft light Hokkaido-style milk bun.

The dry-aged beef patty was cooked perfectly and it was juicy medium rare with a noticeable caramelised outer layer. This French-inspired burger is the most indulgent on the menu but the flavour was well-balanced. The tarragon bacon mayo was the highlight of the burger. This was one gourmet-style burger!

I saw a customer with a takeaway order of 12 burgers! The fried chicken burger looked pretty delicious as well - we definitely will try that next time. Unfortunately, if you are a vegetarian, you don't get a burger ... yet.

Every good burger needs to have a side of fries! There are two types of fries on offer: normal fries ($3) or cheesy fries ($6).The normal fries are shoestring French fries and the cheesy fries are topped with, well, you guessed it, cheese sauce! Why have normal shoestring fries when you can have fries loaded with special cheese sauce!

I must say Happy Ending's cheesy fries were amazingly deliciously crispy. The fries were coated with a good oozing cheese sauce. They really stood out for me and I highly recommended you to try them when you visit Happy Ending Burger.

To wash down your burger and fries, Happy Ending offers two special house-blended lemonades to quench your thirst: strawberry or orange with brown sugar. We tried the strawberry lemonade and it was a drink that made us smile.

Who says 'happy endings' only happen in fairytales!
