A new musical - better than the TV show
Goodbye grey skies, hello blue! Happy days are here again with Richie, Potsie, Ralph Malph and the unforgettable "king of cool" Arthur "The Fonz" Fonzarelli. Based on the hit Paramount Pictures television series, "Happy Days – A New Musical" reintroduces one of America's best-loved families, the Cunninghams – yes, Howard, Marion and Joanie are here too – to a whole new generation of kids and parents.
Northern Light Theatre Company will be bringing Happy Days to the stage in Adelaide this March, performing at the Shedley Theatre from March 13 to 28.

The story tells of the famed drive-in malt shop and number one hangout, Arnold's, which is in danger of demolition. To save it, the gang teams up with a dance contest and a TV-worthy wrestling match. Even Pinky Tuscadero, Fonzie's childhood sweetheart, returns to help and – lo and behold! – they rekindle their old flame.
Co-Directors George and Gary Humphries have teamed up in a talented family affair with choreographers Kylie and Tammy Pedler and musical director Danielle Pedler. Joined by a lively cast, Angus Smith will slick up his inner 'Fonz' playing Arthur Fonzarelli with Bianca Levai bringing sass to the role of Pinky Tuscadero. Other members of the cast range in experience from the first time treading the boards to Adelaide theatre veterans of 10 years (plus!) and will bring a dynamic blend to characters including the 'Dial Tones', 'Pinkettes', 'Carhops' and cool kids of Wisconsin.
Written by Garry Marschall, the original creator of the TV series, Happy Days the Musical celebrates all the music and dance styles of the era and has the 'Snap!', 'Ooh-Bop!' and 'Pie Tap' to entertain you on a great night out. Matinee performances on Saturday March 21 and 28 are a perfect opportunity to bring the whole family. Return to the days of 1959 Milwaukee complete with varsity sweaters, hula hoops and jukebox sock-hoppin' fun. This perfectly family friendly musical will have you rockin' and rollin' all week long!
