It's not very often we can devote some time to thinking about what makes us happy. This is what a Happiness Workshop allows you to do.
These workshops are held at kikki.K shops around Australia, but I attended one at the Queens Plaza shop. The Happiness Workshop is about identifying what makes you happy and working on a plan to do more of that.
I arrived at the workshop after work and received my complimentary copy of the Happiness Journal (valued at $34.95). The group was fewer than ten participants and was made up of all females ranging in various ages.
We were led through some of the exercises in the front pages of the journal, such as writing down what makes you happy, and what makes you unhappy. We were shown an example of how to create a stunning 'happy vision board'.
We wrote down our reverse bucket list – it's the opposite of a bucket list. We wrote down everything wonderful that we had already achieved and were proud of during our lifetime. We shared some of our thoughts with the rest of the group. One lady told an inspiring tale of how she walked the Kokoda Trail with her husband. She had to overcame her fears and self-doubt, including her son saying he didn't think she could do it.
Then we wrote down what we were grateful for in our lives, and we talked about it with the other members of the group.
The workshop instructor had some great tips about creating a yearly celebration box. This is where you place all the things you are proud of or enjoyed throughout the year in to a dedicated box. This can include things like photos, tickets, certificates or mementos from your holiday. You can open the box at the end of the year and share what you put in it with your family.
The Happiness Workshop lasted around ninety minutes and included nibbles and drinks. We were offered a discount on any Kikki-K products purchased after the session.
I came away from the happiness workshop inspired to put a plan of action into place.
'Happiness is a journey, not a destination, so there's no better time to create your happiest life.'

What a great article Emma, and what a great workshop. I think that I need to attend one of these workshops. I start to journal all the time but I never stick to writing in my journal much. I think I need to focus on happiness more and on the goals that I have achieved in my life. Thank for sharing.
