Having time for yourself whilst being a Mum
Many underestimate the role of becoming a mum. If you are fair dinkum and put your heart and soul into the job, it can become very fulfilling. You become a carer, educator, role model, nurse, provider, protector and many others all rolled into the title of parent. A parent's role does not end at 18 either, a parent's role is for life.

On Saturday 7th May, "Happiness Hacks for Mums", a workshop based on sharing tips and shortcuts, experiences and discussions between mums in the light of making your life brighter, easier and happier will be held in Fortitude Valley. This interactive and practical workshop will also provide you with ideas that can be put into practice easily. You will also learn how to get more energy whilst making time for yourself.
Workshop facilitator, Louise Wedgwood is a mum like you with a graduate degree in psychology, fitness and coaching qualifications. Louise has ten years' experience as a trainer and is an award winning health and parenting writer.
Being a first time mum can be lonely when your husband goes off to work and you are left at home with hours of no adult communication. So, if you have nappy wipes, baby food and toys in your handbag, this course is for you. A delicious morning tea will be provided during the three-hour workshop. You will be handed worksheets and each attendee will be emailed in the following week after the event to help you put into practice the changes you choose to make.
A Saturday was chosen for the event so the mums could dedicate the time to themselves while dads look after the children. However, if you do need to bring your young baby along, this is okay. The event will be held at Maida Lilly Community Centre, Level 1, 5 Green Square Close Fortitude Valley which is close to the train station and cheap parking is located nearby.
The cost is $65.00 per person, commencing at 9.00 am and concluding at 12.00 Noon. If you want more information you can contact Louise at firstname.lastname@example.org or enrol by registering here.
