Join local Melbourne floristry creative Ms Murphy Flowers at the Bend and Snap Market this Sunday 26 October, for creative class with a pop of green.
The Hanging Concrete Pot and Succulent Workshop, promoted by the Colour Box Studio, offers a short but sweet 30 minute class where you will decorate a concrete pot complete with a colourful string and a pretty little succulent ready to hang at home.
Eavan Murphy, the creative behind Ms Murphy Flowers comes from a background in Theatre Production and State Management. Murphy transferred her artistic experience in prop making to move into a career as a florist and maker of plant pots, vessels and terrariums.
This is not the first time Murphy has joined forces with Colour Box Studio to offer her creative talents to beginners, with a one day DIY Terrarium, Pot & Macrame workshop she also teaches in Collingwood.
The Hanging Concrete Pot and Succulent Workshop, much shorter than the aforementioned Collingwood day class, will take place at the Bend and Snap Market; an indoor art, design, fashion and vintage event held at Thousand Pound Bend in the CBD.
There are three workshop times to choose from throughout the afternoon, either 1pm, 2pm or 3pm. At a cost of $35, you will get to decorate your own concrete pot in any colour combo you wish, and chose from a selection of colourful strings with which to hang your design, finally adding your chosen succulents, soil, and pebbles.
