When you are driving along the Olympic Highway, between Henty and Wagga Wagga, it is not immediately apparent that there is a relaxing farmstay is waiting for you just few miles off the highway near Yerong Creek. It is 5 hours drive from Melbourne.



Why not take your weekend just outside Victoria? The Hanericka farmstay would be an ideal place for the whole family, young and old. There are plenty of things to occupy your young ones. My daughter enjoyed the daily horse riding and taking the horses back to their pen (with a guide staff).

There is a baby kangaroo and a little lamb (3 days old). We all enjoyed feeding them. There is also talking galah which will amuse little kids for hours. He always calls you 'Hello Cooki.' You can help with the farm chores like feeding the animals, milking the goats or you can relax by the pool. You can enjoy a game of tennis, football or just go for a walk to enjoy the tranquillity.



The owners of the farm are very friendly, and you will be spoiled for choice when it comes to the food on offer. When we arrived at 10.00 am from Victoria, we were given morning tea with snacks and some fruits. We were also given fresh home cook meals – there are always fruits, snacks and tea to enjoy throughout the day.

The next day, we were taken on a tractor ride and all the children played on the hey stacks, which are one meter tall - they enjoyed jumping from one to the other. Children also saw how they store wheat in gigantic plastic bags on the fields before sending them to Uncle Tobys. We are thinking going back their again in Autumn to see sheep shearing at one of the farms nearby.

One of the guests celebrated 70th birthday - the owners organised a barn dance and all the guests were invited to the dance – we had a fantastic time.
