If you are interested in creating your very own permaculture garden at home, take note of the upcoming 'Hands On Permaculture Workshop' at Crystal Waters Eco Village.

Hosted by Ethos Foundation, this upcoming two-day workshop is being held as part of the International Permaculture Day programme.

Over the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of May, 2015, this interactive workshop will teach participants everything they need to know about setting up and maintaining a kitchen garden.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn the basics of permaculture design

  • Learn how to build a no-dig veggie and herb garden

  • Learn about edible subtropical perennial plants

  • Learn how to create a polycultural garden with herbs, edible flowers, vegetables, medicines and more

  • Set-up successful compost and worm systems

  • Learn how to make organic liquid fertiliser

  • Learn about basic propagation and seed saving skills

  • Create a water-wise garden

  • Explore the foundations of establishing a food forest

  • Examine how to best link your home and garden eco-systems

The workshop will be held in a fun, encouraging environment and is designed to inspire. The friendly course facilitators are Morag Gamble, a passionate permaculture educator and designer and Evan Raymond, a permaculture teacher and designer who has worked with projects in twenty countries over two decades.

In addition to the workshop, participants will also enjoy a guided walk through Crystal Waters. In these beautiful surrounds you can also go bushwalking, swimming, meet the abundant wildlife and much more.

If you are interested in permaculture and sharing your ideas and knowledge with like-minded people, don't miss this unique opportunity.

Places are strictly limited and early bookings are advised: the all inclusive cost is $285 with all meals (mostly local and organic food), plus campsite or bed in bunkhouse cabin.
