Ready for a crafty winter, folks?
Presented by the Wise Foundation, Hands on Brisbane is offering a huge range of craft workshops, demonstrations and Q&A sessions from May to August at Gardens Club, Brisbane City Botanic Gardens.
So if you are keen to learn new awesome skills or handmade techniques, then you're in luck. Led by Brisbane's finest local artisans, these workshops are held in a casual environment with many classes also supplying the materials.
You can make and decorate your own terrarium, get creative and have a go at block printing, and learn the basics of screen printing. If you've always wanted to learn how to crochet then now is your chance. And even discover the art of various Japanese wrapping techniques.
There are workshops for ceramics, polymer clay and sterling silver. Plus learn printmaking techniques and printing applications for fabric. There are also two fantastic classes working with paper: Paper Flowers with Mabina Alaka and Single Sheet Books with Tricia Smout.
Head to the
Hands On Brisbane website to see their full list of workshops. Many of these sell out quickly so make sure you book early to avoid disappointment. Workshops start from only $25 and materials are included in the price.
So what are you waiting for? Enrol now and see you there!
