Learn a new craft
Hands on Brisbane is a series of craft workshops, demonstrations, and Q&A sessions taking place at Bleeding Heart in the city. Conducted by some of Brisbane's best artisans, these hands on workshops will cover a wide range of crafts from crocheting to decorating wedding cookies.
Running until April 27, the first workshop starts on Saturday, February 23 with Simmone Spring teaching how to create a tiny garden or terrarium using jam jars. Following workshops include crocheting, brass etching, screen printing, and making and decorating wedding favours. Or take a class that shows you how to make home spa treatments, Romanian point lace, or shrinky dinks artwork.
Visit Bleeding Heart's website for the full program of workshops including dates. Then register here for one or more classes. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment. Prices range from $20 to $40 (plus booking fee) with many workshops providing the necessary materials.
