Hands-on at the Archives – April School Holiday Workshops

The National Archives of Australia will be holding school holiday workshops between 10th - 13th April, between 10am - 12pm. Each workshop costs $20 per child, plus booking fee. Details are:

Monday 10th April - Kids can learn to find their family in the family history records, including siblings of their parents, grandparents and other generations past.

Tuesday 11th April - The National Archives will be celebrating Nature Play Week with local artist Susan Pfanner. Discover art in nature and collect natural materials from the gardens around the Archives to make your own mandala, birds nest or collage.

Wednesday 12th April - Celebrate the International Day of Human Space Flight and make your own paper solar system. Check out their records of Australia's involvement in the first moon landing.

Thursday 13th April - Celebrate International Scrabble Day with old fashioned games such as Stuck in the Mud and quoits, indoors and outdoors. See the National Archives of Australia website for more details and how to book.
