The Handmade Market showcases local and interstate designers and producers of jewellery, fashion, homewares, cupcakes, gourmet foods, stationary, hand made furniture, toys, garden sculptures and more. If it is handmade then you will find it at these markets. The Handmade Market, located at the EPIC (Exhibition Park in Canberra) and is held four times a year and attracts an average of 20,000 visitors over the two days.
When the markets first began in 2008 the organisers started with 34 stalls and this has now increased to over 260 stalls at each event. With so many handmade products in the one place, there is a huge variety of products to choose from. As you browse the stalls, why not have a chat to creative people standing behind them and learn about the stories behind their products. With hours of work going into each item for sale, you are sure to go home with an original piece not seen anywhere else.
