The Handmade Expo Markets

The Handmade Expo Markets are held in seven locations around Queensland. The ones we visited were located at The Ipswich Turf Club, Brisbane Road, Bundamba. The markets are held on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 8am to 2pm. The theme of the stalls is excellence in making, baking, and growing.

There were over fifty stalls and we were impressed with the range of beautiful handmade goods. The tables were filled with clothes and toys for children, jewellery, clothes, beautiful candles and soaps, and olives. I loved the geometric style prints from Studio Cockatoo (based at Pomona) and the mixed media art by Celestine Stokes.

Mwah Bowtique had some stunning kid's clothes (above). Some of the other stalls we saw were Flowering Jasmine, Lady Lathers, Birdee and Star, Di Gent Home Baked Goods, Shabby Chic Candle Co, Lotus Scrub, Nothing Else Matters, Stylish Baby Bits and Dainty Candles. I adored the chalkboard art by Hen and May and professional stationery by local resident John.
