This November, the Melbourne Mandolin Orchestra is proudly presenting the world premiere of 'Hand-painted Soundscapes', a new work by renowned Australian mandolin virtuoso and composer, Stephen Lalor.
Held on Sunday 12th November in the intimate venue of St George's Centre, this special live music event will feature the Melbourne Mandolin Orchestra performing an exciting repertoire of contemporary and classical music.
Comencing at 2.30pm, concert-goers will also be treated to Stephen Lalor's 'Hand-painted Soundscapes', which was commissioned by the Melbourne Mandolin Orchestra and the world premiere of 'Darkness and Light' by conductor Werner Ruecker. Other works include 'Family Squabble', a light-hearted joust by Owen Hartford, and 'Songs without Words' by old favourite Konrad Woelki.
