was recommended by a hotel receptionist, who was a local and long time foodie. If there is a group of you, you will need to book. If you're on your own, you just walk in. Perth locals are known to come in their boats, then step over to Halo for dinner.

Perth's remoteness and unspoilt landscape give the city some distinct advantages. Perth has access to some of the best produce in the world and locals know their food. The Perth food scene is vibrant and the chefs are inventive and forward-thinking.

I wanted to sample local marron and see how indigenous native ingredients were used in dishes. Halo use seasonal produce and the menu is always changing. I would recommend trying their signature dishes. The staff are really helpful and attentive, so do ask for their recommendations.

Have a cocktail! I had one of their signature cocktails that incorporated lemon myrtle and it was delicious. They also have a great wine menu. I highly recommend a night out at Halo.
