Halloween is one of those holidays which has struggled to catch on in some parts of Australia but the suburb of Crace has really embraced it. If you are Halloween curious or a trick or treat veteran, head to out to experience this neighbourhood trick or treat which is getting bigger each year.
Houses throughout the Crace are decorated in spooky and spectacular style and adults, as well as kids, are dressed to impress with ghouls and ghosts, witches and wizards, princesses and princes walking together and having a great time.
If you head to the Crace Facebook page in the lead up to October 31, you'll find an interactive map showing the houses which are happy to have some spooky visitors knock on the door and find out whether tricks or treats are on offer - this is fantastic because you can plan your walking route and be assured that you won't be bothering people who aren't into the whole Halloween thing (although the decorations should give some clues about which houses to visit).
One tip for the Crace Trick or Treat if you have very small kids is to stash a few spare treats in your pocket because the huge crowds have led to lolly shortages at some places as the night wears on. And remember the trick or treat has a set finish time so if you do take part, please respect that and don't knock too late.
