Trick-or-Treat Mackenzie Halloween Style 2019
The community of Mackenzie in Brisbane's south hosts numerous festivals and events through the year; each one a compliment to the residents and organisers who wish to showcase their area to the public. Although only 20 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD, Mackenzie is partially covered by natural beauty and bushland.
On Thursday 31st October 2019, Mackenzie is hosting Halloween 2019 between 6.00pm and 8.00pm and although it is a school evening, the event does not go too late into the night. Mackenzie is encouraging its homeowners to leave a light on outside and perhaps a Halloween decoration to let the children know you are participating in the Trick-or-Treat event. Participation is totally optional.
All young Zombies, Vampires, Superheros, Pirates and Princesses are to be accompanied by an adult; older children should always have at least two buddies with them. Remember to plan your route and make sure your family knows what route you are taking. Accept treats only at the front door, only visit houses where there is a light on and say thank-you for each treat. Sweets and treats should be individually wrapped. Remember not to litter if you eat your sweets on the way; always take the wrappers home. Please pay respect to the homeowner's lawn by keeping to the footpaths and driveways. It is a good idea to have a mobile phone with you and head home by 8.00pm, so residents can also have an early evening.
Halloween is a fun time for children and adults, so to keep the enthusiasm alive, please respect the wishes of others.
