Spooktacular Halloween Dishes Dandenong Kids Fun Event
The Dandenong Market is a hub of activity and foodies delight anytime you visit, however, at different times throughout the year the markets specialise their days by themed celebrations. On Sunday 3rd November 2019, Dandenong Market is celebrating Halloween with heaps of ghoulish and ghastly fun.

Children will have lots of fun joining in the trick or treat treasure hunt, getting their faces painted with scary hairy makeovers, participating in craft and wand-making classes or play a part in great Halloween games. There will also be fantastic prizes for the best dressed in the Halloween Fashion Parade.

Keep an eye out for the Wicked Witch and Creepy Clown who will be lurking around the stalls while you indulge in a Spooktacular Halloween Feast of limited-edition dishes on offer from the market traders. If you are a food lover, you may like to take the new tour offered "Dandenong Market Street Food Tour", which are perfect for passionate foodies.

The township of Dandenong was established in the late 1840s and the first market day was held in October 1866. The advertisement stated sale items would be a choice lot of dairy cows with calves, heifers springing, 50 head store cattle, a number of useful horses, fat and store pigs, well-bred rams, poultry, potatoes and other produce, drays, spring cart and farming implements; lunch supplied. You will not find a choice of farm animals available these days, however, you will find a multi-cultured market of over 200 traders showcasing an array of delicious food from different nationalities, fresh fruit and vegetables, seafood, meat, bakeries, florists, clothing, jewellery, toys, homewares and computer equipment.

The Dandenong Market is one of the oldest in Australia and is spread over an area of 8,000 square metres. Entry is free and there is free parking. Definitely, these markets are the place to visit if you are new to the area or on holiday.

For more information on this fantastic event, please call 03 9701 3850. The Dandenong Markets is situated at the corner of Clow & Cleeland Streets, Dandenong.
