The spookiest night of the year brings out all kinds of ghouls and a fabulous place to find them is at the haunted Black Rock House. Join in the fun this Halloween at Black Rock House on Thursday 31 October 2019 between 6.00pm and 8.30pm.
After last year's successful event, the spook factor has been raised with all sorts of fright night fun. Dare your friends to walk through Death Alley, and keep an eye out for Scary Mary and her brother Mr Baker the Undertaker. Venture, if you dare, into the cellar and beware of things that go bump in the night.
Bring along your four-legged friends and join in the Pet Parade starting at 7pm at Black Rock House and walking around the block. There will be best-dressed prizes for owners and pets. Entry for the parade is with a gold coin donation with all proceeds going to Second Chance Animal Rescue.
This free event will provide plenty of great photo opportunities, so don't forget your camera or phone. The Sandringham Lions Club will be on hand offering a BBQ from 5.30pm.
Black Rock House in the Bayside suburb of Black Rock, was built by Victoria's first Auditor-General Charles Ebden from 1856-1858. This historic Victorian-era home with its castle-style fortress wall, sand and paint finish, antique furniture and costumes and shady Moreton Bay Fig garden is well worth a visit. The Friends of Black Rock House run regular tours and community events.
