Debra, a stay-at-home mum of three, loves experiencing and sharing all that Brisbane has to offer; especially southside secrets.

Every time I drive down Logan Road through Mount Gravatt Central, I notice something new.

Hallowed Grounds Espresso, with its clever name and equally clever signage, is the latest place to catch my eye. It is a welcome addition to this busy shopping strip.

This little slice of heaven has only been open for a month but the news seems to be spreading.

Only a small cafe, with a few tables inside and outside, all the tables except one were taken the day I visited.

Their coffee is freshly roasted from a local roastery, Elixir. My latte was delicious and the presentation was perfect.

In addition to fresh-roasted coffee, they also serve up frappes, freshly made sandwiches, and sweet and savoury treats. They will be introducing a breakfast menu in the near future.

They also sell something you don't often see in a coffee shop; gourmet ice-cream. Check out the ice-cream cabinet for their yummy flavours: vanilla bean, cookies and cream, butterscotch, mango sorbet, and more.

Mount Gravatt Lookout is just around the corner; why not grab an ice-cream cone and head to the lookout.

Hallowed Grounds is open seven days a week, from early until after lunch. Check out their website for more detailed information. Free Wi-Fi is available for customers.

Street parking is available on Logan Road or you can park behind the cafe.

Hallowed Grounds has moved down the road to Shop 2, 1417 Logan Road. It still serves a great coffee.
