Canadian Bay is a fantastic beach just outside Melbourne's city limits. Situated on the popular tourist hotspot the Mornington Peninsula, the beach is a good mix of natural beauty and a sedate vibe that makes it a perfect fit for families keen on a trip to the coast.
Access to the Beach is gained in multiple ways, but the carpark at the bottom of Canadian Bay Road is ideal. As well as also being a great point of access for the neighbouring Half Moon Bay Dog Beach, it's a easy entry point via the carpark to the shore.
From here, its just a short walk down the stairs and by the Canadian Bay Club and you're walking along the sand and sea.
While conditions vary with the weather, on a good day the Beach is flat, calm, and perfect for swimming, wading, and just floating on the water and passing an afternoon or weekend by. There's also little in the way of reefs of rocks throughout much of the beach; meaning anyone going into the water shall have an easy time passing through without needing to deal with sharp stones and rocks.
