Though this be madness, yet there is method in't

This Adelaide Fringe Festival, Bard enthusiasts have an extra special treat set up for them. In his first solo show, 'Half Hour Hamlet', Patrick Hercamp is tackling Hamlet the way it should be done: fast, furious and ridiculous!

"All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts." With one actor playing every part, you'll see a side of one of the world's favourite Shakespearian plays that might make you seek out those old high school text books for a re-read.

Patrick has been a key member of vaudeville comedy trio and Adelaide Fringe veterans 'Sound & Fury' (also performing new show 'Lord of the Thrones' this Fringe Festival) for 6 years. The group tours their award-winning shows throughout the U.S and Australia, leaving hilarity in their wake. Patrick has now dared to step out to perform solo and present Shakespeare in an educational and fun way without all the boring stuff. "Though this be madness, yet there is method in't."

The show is developed by Jeff McLane, a professional writer with decades of experience and performed by an award winning fringe professional. 'Half Hour Hamlet' smashes right through all the traditional barriers and guarantees audiences a hilarious romp. It introduces Shakespeare in a way that the young, young at heart, classic lit grads and comedy fans can all enjoy. Probably leave the skulls at home though.
