The Pan Pacific Singapore is known for more than its location offering easy access to two shopping malls,
Singapore Flyer ,
Gardens by the Bay and a short MRT train ride to the
Christmas Light Up in Orchard Road. This award-winning hotel in Singapore is also home to the popular
Pacific Marketplace , Keyaki Japanese restaurant, the Edge all-day dining food theatre and Hai Tien Lo Cantonese restaurant.
As a result of the hotel's SGD80 million refurbishment, Hai Tien Lo has been transformed from the dated 37th floor space to an impressive contemporary Oriental dining venue for small intimate meals and extravagant gatherings.
The decor offered contemporary interpretations of dynastic Chinese elements with the look-alike Chinese medicine shelves containing tea at the reception, large red pillars of the Forbidden City, wooden carvings of stylised clouds in the panels and furniture, the chrysanthemum motifs on the carpets and the Great Wall stonework.
The space was carved out into 3 sections providing an semi-open general dining area that looked into the atrium with a line of glass-enclosed rooms in the background.
The emperor of all private rooms featured a luxurious 20-seater table, lounge area and private washroom fit for a meal with the Chinese Premier.
[ADVERT]Chef Lai Tong Ping, who heads the Chinese culinary team at the upgraded venue, continues to create signature dishes that make Hai Tien Lo an award-winning Cantonese restaurant in
Singapore . I'm looking forward to catch up with the chef for a sneak peek into his
Christmas menu during my stay in the city.
The combined atmosphere, service and exquisite menu of the refurbished Hai Tien Lo make it an excellent venue for business lunches, festive dinner parties and weekend dining with the family.
