Let's admit it, most if not all of us, have a sweet tooth
A lot is written about coffee shops these days because there are so many to choose from and so many about. In shopping strips in all suburbs and larger shopping centres. Each has its own distinctive following of loyal customers who claim that their coffee shop is the best.
Just recently the Hahndorf's Fine Chocolate Shop came to Forest Hills, and things haven't been quite the same since.
A Great Place to Meet
Cakes, Muffins, etc
Hahndorf's Fine Chocolates (no connection with the beautiful Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia) has a fine history. It began in 2001 in North Balwyn here in Victoria and was one of the very first cafes that offered hot coffee and hot chocolate, milkshakes and cakes, while enjoying a free sample of one of their fabulous chocolates.
Their chocolates range from truffles and creams through to bars and blocks with lots of assortments, gift hampers, gift boxes and novelties. Who could ask for anything more?
A Nibble or Two
Since that time, Hahndorfs Fine Chocolates have opened a number of other stores around the city, including Blackburn, Black Rock, Croydon South, Frankston, Geelong, Greensborough, Hawthorn, Kew, Montrose, Upper Ferntree Gully.
This was my first viit to a Hahndorf Fine Chocolate cafe when I visited the Forest Hills cafe, and I was immediately impressed by the set up in the cafe. The colour scheme of two tone purple is very peasant and Chocolates of every shape, size and flavour were displayed in districtive glass shelving and cases. Gift packs, even "seconds", made a tempting display.

How to Choose?
The basic coffee, tea, milkshakes, hot cholate, combined with the more than 80 products give a sensuary attraction and it is no wonder that Hahndorf's Fine Chocolates continue to provide chocolate sensations.
