It's simple really, just follow these exact steps.
Take one Sunday afternoon. A car, a dash of petrol. Your partner alongside you.
A good CD (personally, I think you can't go past Bruce Springsteen or The Eagles).
Mix these together and you too will have a chance at happiness!
Having trouble trying to find something nice and cheap to do in Adelaide? It happens to all of us. Especially me. At least once a week.
When walking around Jetty Road or slumping around Westfield Marion gets a bit dull, treat yourself to a lovely lazy cruise to beautiful Hahndorf.
This historical German settlement at the foot of the Adelaide Hills is an idyllic location for this Sunday drive.
Simply follow the Princes Highway up through the picturesque hills and winding roads of Bridgewater and Verdun and you will stumble upon Hahndorf's main street.
Park your car and stroll through the charming German bakeries, cafes and traditional sweet stores. I find it surprising how the natural demeanour of Hahndorf's residents can be so gracious and charming, it's so refreshing. Make a point to have a pint of a Pilsener at the traditional German Arms Hotel, a gorgeous wooden restaurant established in 1839.
Make your way homeward just before sunset and savour the golden rays that set over Princes Highway, and thank me later.
