Gypsy Tapas House is a real rustic gem in the heart of Fremantle. It is on the corner of Queen and High Street, which creates a more tranquil setting accompanied by some live music nights; Wednesday is Moroccan night! The cosy setting is furnished with ample seating areas inside and out as well as fairy lights to set the mood.
I went here with a large group of friends, where we shared the entire menu's worth of tapas. Around $35 per head, but we were surprisingly full at the end of it, even though the dishes were quite small.
One of our friends was a vegetarian and they were able to choose almost as many options of dishes as everyone else, so the menu caters for all!
This restaurant would also be an ideal place for a first date as the sharing plates make for a good ice breaker on conversation and can minimise the awkward first date nerves. The weekly live music acts can also lead to an opportunity for a dance after dinner.

I was unable to get any pictures of the food as my friends ate it before I could get my camera out, but the dishes were all delicious, with some obscure additions such as sweet potato with cinnamon. However they are quite small, and for $8 a dish, it can get quite pricey if you are hungry.
The environment did not feel that suitable for children to be at, so maybe save a date for a night off with the partner or friends.
I would recommend checking this place out as it is an ideal setting for those long warm evenings. Speaking of long, be prepared for fairly slow service, but when the dishes start arriving and conversation is flowing you won't even notice!
