A Showcase of Delicate and Exquisite Wildlife Paintings
BIRDS and other Animals is the latest exhibition by Guy Troughton, an award-winning wildlife artist based in Sydney. It features not only Australian wildlife but also African, European and North American wildlife as subjects of his paintings. All original paintings and limited edition prints are for sale. It will open on 7 April at the Warringah Creative Space in Abbott Road, North Curl, Curl.

The UK-born artist started to paint at age of four. After he graduated with an honours degree in Zoology at London University, he became a full-time artist. His first solo exhibition was in 1983. The highlights of his career are the commissioned illustration works for the United Kingdom's National Trust Foundation for Art, Cambridge University Press, World Wildlife Fund (WWF), and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. He won the Viewers' Choice at the Mosman Art Prize in 2005.
The highly accomplished watercolour artist is a member of the prestigious Australian Watercolour Institute and Wildlife Art Society of Australasia. He teaches watercolour both at the Julian Ashton Art School and private classes.
