On a recent trip to Stones Corner, we decided to forget the coffee shop (it was a sweltering day) and go to Gurgle instead. Gurgle Creative Juices is a bright and sunny addition to the scene on Logan Road.
Gurgle, a healthy alternative for busy people on the go, offers fresh juices and scrumptious smoothies, as well as fruit salad, yoghurt and fruit, and a small selection of wraps.
I ordered the Mango-N-Go-Go smoothie while my three year old picked Very Merry Berry. Mango-N-Go-Go, a blend of mango, low fat ice-cream, milk, and honey, may be low in fat but it is damn delicious. Very Merry Berry, a mix of seasonal berries, low fat ice-cream, milk, and honey, is berry tasty.
For something especially healthy yet still tasty, try the Green Goddess (spinach, kiwi, banana, lettuce, and low fat ice-cream) or The Grasshopper (with green tea powder).
Gurgle's creative juices include fabulous flavours with fun names like Ginger Ninja, Nice Melons, and The Cure (as in hangover). If you can't decide which juice to choose, create your own from their selection of fresh fruit and vegetables: carrot, cucumber, spinach, apple, orange, pineapple, mango and more.
In addition to fresh juices and smoothies, you can order The Beefcake shake (with whey protein and creatine powders) if you want to bulk up or The Fat Burner juice (with Hydroxy-Lean) if you want to slim down.
You can also have a Gurgle add-in (acai powder, lean whey protein powder, muesli and more) added to any juice or smoothie for $1 extra.
Next time I'm in Stones Corner craving caffeine, I'm going to Gurgle for a Cold-Brew smoothie (espresso, low fat ice-cream, milk, and honey.) It's a cheery alternative.
