I am often being told that a trip to Bowral is a lovely way to spend a lazy Sunday and so a couple of months ago my husband and I jumped in the car one weekend and headed up for the day. We left early, got there around 9am and started looking for somewhere nice to go for breakfast. This was when we noticed The Gumnut Patisserie in the main street. It was the number of awards listed on the window that caught our attention, as it was very impressive, and in fact, I couldn't imagine that there would be many awards left for these guys to win.
Upon entering, we were delighted with the extensive range of baked goods. We ordered much more than is socially acceptable for one breakfast sitting, but there was just so much to choose from! We took our pastries and coffees outside, sat in the sun and devoured everything! The ham and cheese croissant was phenomenal and the Hot Crossed Buns are something really special. Since discovering this little bakery, we have been back a number of times, and it is well worth a trip to Bowral for!
