Yarra Ranges is my stomping ground. I never tire of its beauty, the creativity of its people, and the abundance of things to do and see.

Who doesn't love a bonfire?
Shake off the winter blues in the best way imaginable – by embracing the cold, rugging up and celebrating everything that this time of year should be about - warm food and drink, live music, and a roaring bonfire.
On Saturday July 26th, Gulf Station in Yarra Glen is proudly hosting the Winter Blaze with live music from 2pm by Nine Mile Creek, The Hannafords, The Marville Family, Slaid Boone, and the Victorian Folk Music Club.
Situated on the Melba Highway just on the edge of Yarra Glen, Gulf Station is one of Australias oldest and most intact examples of a pioneer farm complex. The setting is perfect for live entertainment, and its a great place for the family and to let the kids just be kids.
They can enjoy the thrill of an old fashioned bonfire and there will even be a smaller campfire where they can toast marshmallows. There will also be roving entertainment from Circus Ruccis throughout the afternoon. Hot drinks and food will be available, or bring along a picnic.
There is an old adage that there is no bad weather, just bad clothing, so make sure you pack (or wear) extra warm clothing, coats, gumboots, warm socks, beanies, scarves, gloves! Once the music starts, you're sure to want to get up and dance, but bring along a chair anyway and get your camp set up for the afternoon and evening. Don't let winter keep you inside, get out and enjoy a great line up of low cost activity and entertainment in this remarkable location.
