This is a fun family friendly event, designed to build the community by gathering the most angels in one place. This attempt will be made on Wednesday 27th June, 2018.
Get there at around 5.30 pm for a 6.00 pm start, in order to beat the current world record. This record is currently held by Canada and they had 1,275 angels.
The event will be held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Exhibition Pavilion 1, 21 Mounts Bay Rd, Perth. As it is the major fundraising initiative for 2018, Angelhands has been granted permission for a Guinness World Record attempt for the "Largest Gathering of Angels". The date it is being held on is actually PTSD Awareness Day and June is PTSD Awareness Month in the USA.
To be a participant, all Angels must have an all-white dress code, with an Angelhands event tee-shirt and halo (both of which are included in the ticket prices below). You can also bring your own angel accessories.
This event is being hosted by Western Australia's own world-renowned trauma recovery advocate, Dr Ann O'Neill. Ann had the unimaginable horror of the murder of her two young children. She then went on to form Angelhands Inc to provide services to people on their Journey to Recovery from extreme trauma.
In order to break the record, Ann and Angelhands are aiming to have at least 1,500 people at this event, so make sure you are one of them!
The Angelhands GWR event has two aims in addition to breaking the world record:
1. To raise awareness of Angelhands and the work that it does with people on their Journey to Recovery from extreme trauma
2. To raise much-needed funds, donors and sponsors to support the Trauma Recovery Angel (TRA) programme.
This programme is what Angelhands does to help people recovering from the impact of trauma.
They choose their Trauma Recovery Angels from 3rd and 4th year and masters level university students who are studying psychology, social work or counselling.
In order to train and retain each Trauma Recovery Angel, it costs almost $10,000 per annum.
This year in February, they trained 24 Trauma Recovery Angels.
Last year their Trauma Recovery Angels helped over 400 clients and provided 1,400 hours of service.
In other words, the more they raise, the more Trauma Recovery Angels they can sponsor to serve at the heart of trauma recovery.
You can help this magnanimous effort by purchasing your tickets to attend the event via
this site.
Cost for the event is:
Adults $20
Children $10
Your angel kit (white t-shirt with printed wings and a halo) is included in this cost
To help out, you could start your Crowdraiser page! You could collect your own fundraising efforts for Angelhands at this

[b]MORE ABOUT ANGELHANDS**
Many of us have been or know someone who has been struck by an awful trauma in their life. At Angelhands, their Trauma Recovery Angels give Western Australia families hope and healing on their journey to recovery from extreme trauma.
Angelhands provides community awareness, recognition and education programmes to help promote "clarity, understanding and compassion within the wider community of the complex psychological, social and systematic challenges resulting from extreme trauma including that involving violence."
Angelhands is run by a dedicated group of professionals, some of whom have also been personally affected by trauma. They are very aware of how different each person's needs are. They also realise how difficult it is to seek out answers to the many questions that these people have.
They do work in conjunction with other support services and these include the WA Police, legal departments and government agencies.
