You grab the hay and I'll bring the capsicum - it's on
I'm the girl that used to have hundreds of guinea pigs - okay, more like ten. But still. I had a lot. Sadly, over the past few years, ten has now come down to three. Plus, they're back home overseas.
If you're like me you're popcorning to go to the nearest guinea pig shelter to get some fluffy cuddle time. Unfortunately, I live far from the nearest shelter so imagine my excitement that there's a guinea pig festival being held in Nerang!
Okay, so the nearest animal shelter is closer to me than that (I'm now based in Brisbane) but a whole day dedicated to these wonderful little creatures? Sign me up!
This October 29th, see the Country Paradise Parklands overtaken with the guinea pig festival! A celebration of all things guinea pigs - bring your own guinea pig for a bit of socialisation (for the cavy), cosplay as a guinea pig yourself, or just stroll through many stalls on the day showcasing a number of treats, foods and cavylicious goodness awaits.
There's also a full-on show to keep you entertained! A guinea pig judging contest will be held from cutest butt to poshest piggy - and you can join too! Entry is $2 gold coin donation, for more info to enter your own guinea pig into the comp make sure to head to their official Facebook page.
There will also be a Guinea Pig Maze and much more.
Can't wait for next week? Me either! See you there!
