Join experienced Adelaide Park Lands Preservation Association ambassador Valdis Dunis for a guided tour through the two formal gardens of North Adelaide.

You might not know that these two gardens in the centre of North Adelaide, Brougham Gardens and Palmer Gardens, are part of the Adelaide Park Lands. They've held a special place in the culture and history of Adelaide for more than 180 years.

Along with the prominent floral clock, the rose gardens and other formal plantings, the built heritage that surrounds the gardens is impressive - including the tower of the Brougham Place Uniting Church.

You'll learn more about their role in Adelaide's history, their hidden secrets, and their continuing role in the city's life.

The walk begins at 2pm on Saturday 11th May for just a gold coin donation. (Free for APPA members). Wear sturdy shoes for a walk of about 1.6km. Approximately 1.5 hours duration. Meet behind the floral clock (pictured) on O'Connell Street. Children and dogs most welcome.
