On a beautiful autumn day, Pumicestone Passage shimmers and shines and you'd be hard pressed to find a prettier spot to spend the day. On a recent trip to Bribie Island, we stopped to check out all that's on offer at Bribie Island Hire Hut and Tours - and there's a lot of fun just waiting for adventurous visitors.
It doesn't matter whether you're a water baby or someone who prefers to keep their feet dry, there's something for every age, ability, interest and level of daring. Best of all, it's affordable fun!
Hire equipment includes kayaks, fishing kayaks, stand up paddle boards, electric bikes, surrey bikes and paddle boats (haven't they lasted the test of time?). But the thing that caught my eye was a training course for those wanting to try their hand, knees and legs at the latest craze - the Segway (or in this case, the Zegway). After a 15 minute session of skill training which takes place in the park on the waterfront, you're equipped with all the skills you need to enjoy a guided tour of Bribie. Choose between a 40 minute or one hour tour, an eco tour or an adventure tour. Either way, you're sure to spot marine life and/or wildlife along the way.

It doesn't matter which option you choose to explore this part of the world, you can't lose. Bribie Island is beautiful all year round, but right now it's a knockout! Why not see for yourself! Pack the esky, throw in your togs and head to this island paradise, just over an hour away from Brisbane by car.
