Julian Leatherdale’s first love was theatre but he developed a passion for popular history. He researched and wrote the 16-volume Australian’s At War series in the late 1980s, then researched and co-wrote two ABC documentaries Return to Sandakan and The Forgotten Force.

He was the PR Manager for a hotel school in the Blue Mountains where he lives with his wife and two children. He has written two novels, Palace of Tears and The Opal Dragonfly, the latter set in Elizabeth Bay House in the 1850s, and has written an essay published on the Dictionary of Sydney website on the Hydro Majestic and Mark Foy. With this knowledge, his talk on The Hydro Majestic Story should be very interesting.

Come along and hear this story about the now-refurbished Hydro Majestic.
