Grundy Gardens is a small park situated along the River Torrens. It is one of the many locations to enjoy the outdoors in the
Adelaide Parklands. You can enjoy the views of the River Torrens, while having the likelihood that you'll remain undisturbed.

Grundy Gardens
You'll find the small plot of Grundy Gardens across the Road from the Torrens Parade Grounds. The title of 'gardens' may confuse you a little, because Grundy Gardens don't offer too much in the way of a garden. It isn't the most scenic spot along the River Torrens, but if you're looking for somewhere a bit more private than Elder Park to enjoy some lunch then this could be what you're looking for.
The facilities of Grundy Gardens suit its size. There is no playground, and no toilet facilities, but you will find a barbeque and a table with chairs. If you have more than four people you would probably want to consider bringing your own chairs along. There are a few trees, but none that give too much shade.
There is space for children to run around, and they will still manage to make their own fun. Just be careful with any younger children, Grundy Gardens sits on a bit of a slope and this leans right into the River Torrens. Just make sure you keep an eye on any kids that may run near the water.

Cook Up a BBQ
You're not likely to vote Grundy Gardens to win any awards, but its barbeque make it a handy spot along the River Torrens to cook up some tasty food and enjoy the nearby attractions. You can always use the Grundy Gardens facilities, and then move on to one of the other spots along the Torrens to enjoy the view.
