Event:
Enjoy your own fresh flavoursome vegetables
Come to the Blackwood Library on Thursday March 6 for a guide to growing vegetables from horticulturalist Peter Wilson.

People are increasingly growing vegetables and herbs at home for many reasons - to save money, to experience the better taste of fresh produce, for the convenience, and the satisfaction of producing something yourself.

The workshop will provide a beginner's guide to growing vegetables, which can readily be done with very little space. If you don't have a large garden area, then raised garden beds can be a good idea.

Peter will also cover planting a herb garden outside, and you will have an opportunity to learn the benefits of herb garden companion planting.

The workshop starts at 6pm, lasts 2 hours, and costs $5 per person. Bookings and payment in advance are essential, please phone (08) 8372 8255 for more information.

Note that the workshop will be cancelled in the event of the declaration of an Extreme or Catastrophic Fire Danger day in the Mt Lofty Ranges.
