Seeds from nursery or other shop

Sometimes people will go to a nursery to buy seeds or seedlings to grow something. It won't cost you an arm and leg but there is even a cheaper way to grow fruits, vegetables, herbs or flowers.

Re-grow carrot from carrot top

Keep seeds from fruits that you buy from grocery shops. When you had watermelon for snacks or made pumpkin soup, put aside the seeds. You can plant them later on.

If you buy potatoes that have an eye, cut that part and you can stick them in a pot or in the ground and you can grow your own potatoes. Don't chuck the bottom bit of celery or bok choy - you can re-grow them. Usually, I will put the bottom bit of celery or bok choy in the saucer filled with water. It will re-grow a new leaf after some time. After that, I will plant them in a pot or in the ground. You can also try it with the top of a carrot.

Just to double check when it is the best time to grow them because some plants need specific weather conditions in order to grow better, whether during summer, winter or all year around.

Happy planting!
