The Growers Green Farmers Markets or South Freo Farmers Markets recently shifted venues and are now next to the Fremantle College (Formerly South Fremantle High School) on Lefroy Road in Beaconsfield.

Growers Green Markets were created to provide a genuine alternative to the supermarket shopping experience. It's a place where you can meet and talk directly to the people who are growing and making your food.

The first Sunday of every month is "Big Market" day at Growers Green, with stalls selling vintage, handmade and pre-loved clothing, books, jewellery, craft, gifts and accessories.

These markets are held weekly on a Sunday morning from 8 am to 12 noon, and you can have a delicious breakfast there, as well as shop for all your food items and heaps of these other gifts and items.



Every Sunday Fremantle locals come to shop for the following types of food:

  • Fresh fruit and veggies



  • Organic meat
  • Flowers
  • Plants
  • Cheese
  • Sourdough bread
  • Raw food
  • Cakes
  • Coffee
  • Juice
  • Kombucha
  • Fish
  • Local honey
  • Olive oil
  • And more

  • The actual foodies who will be there weekly will be serving things like crepes, shakshuka, curries, burgers, gozleme, Vietnamese, soup, chai, falafel and Greek foods.

    The weekly vendors at these markets usually include:

  • Della Fresh
  • They have fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs and plants from Albert and Grace in the Perth Hills. Also have bags of washed, ready to eat fresh baby leaves, including spinach, rocket, Swiss chard, beetroot leaves, snow pea shoots, baby kale, mustard, pak choi and herbs from family farms in Baldivis and Oakford.

  • Margaret River Organics
  • They are a grower direct fruit and vegetable vendor with farm fresh quality at low prices.

  • Maus Organics
  • Hans and family are Certified Organic growers in Serpentine and have been for over 20 years. They supply a great range of fruit and vegetables from their own farm as well as from other Certified Organic farms.

  • Jarradale Olive Oil

  • Wild Bakery
  • Baked locally in Fremantle using traditional methods and seasonal ingredients to produce the finest quality baked goods.

  • Bread for Life
  • A delicious range of bread and baked goods made fresh in Fremantle and these include organic, wholemeal, rye, spelt flour, and gluten-free products.

  • Moo Cow Yoghurt ice cream

  • Cartel Coffee

  • Steph's Coffee
  • Let master baristas Steph & Co start your morning with their smooth coffee experience.

  • Handmade ice treats inspired by traditional Mexican paleterias. La Paleta uses all natural ingredients with an emphasis on seasonal produce and quirky flavours.



  • Coconutz
  • Here you can have coconut ice cream that is dairy free, sugar-free and full of healthy, organic ingredients. Flavours include Cinnamon Orange, Honey Turmeric, Mocha Maca, Lemongrass, Ginger, Green Tea and Mango and Lemon Myrtle.

  • Treacle Treat
  • The stroopwafel, or syrup waffle, is a cookie that is unique to the Netherlands and has been eaten in the country for centuries. Stroopwafels are made with two thin crispy waffles, filled and stuck together with a special caramel syrup.& #8203 ;

  • Aunty Barb's Sausage Rolls
  • Great homemade sausage rolls.

  • Crepes
  • Mike and Victoria will whip you up a crepe with your choice of sweet or savoury fillings and they also have gluten-free& #8203 ; options available.

  • Kimchi

  • Carina's Cakes
  • They specialise in "cake in a jar", baked straight in a jar where you have to spoon it out. These cakes last for about 8 days without getting dry.

  • Please bring your own shopping bags and note there is no ATM! They also have their own dog wash and organic dog food, so you can bring your fur babies as long as they are on a lead!

    There are plenty of trees for shade here and heaps of parking across the road at the TAFE and at Fremantle College itself. Please make sure you park either in the car park on Lefroy Road or at the huge TAFE car park, as anyone parking on verges or side streets could be fined by the Parking Inspectors!
