Fresh is Best
Markets are a wonderful weekend activity and farmers markets where you can buy locally made and produced goods are even better.
The Growers' Green Farmers' Market located at Fremantle College (formerly South Fremantle High School), Lefroy Road, Beaconsfield is a community Farmer's Market which support local growers and producers.
Providing a genuine alternative to supermarket shopping, this is the place to purchase local honey, eggs, olive oil, baked goods, herb, jams, plants, fresh flowers and even organic dog food with an opportunity to talk directly to the grower or maker.
The market runs on Sunday mornings from 8 am to 12 pm and the first Sunday of each month is Big Market day with stalls selling vintage, handmade and pre-loved clothing, books, jewellery and accessories.
With breakfast available this is a great market to bring the family and enjoy hot food, fair-trade coffee and live music while you pick up your fresh and local produce for the week. Entertainment includes face painting and an animal farm for the little ones.
