Gabrielle Johnson Music is hosting Saturday Group Singing Classes in the OLA Parish Centre in Maroubra for children aged 5 to 16 years.
These unique classes are hosted by accomplished musician, vocalist and teacher Gabrielle Johnson. For the past 5 years, Gabrielle has been teaching singing before and after school at OLA Pagewood primary school and in December 2013, her singing groups performed Christmas carols at Pacific Square shopping centre in Maroubra, and formed part of the 2013 Matraville Community Carols showcase.
The Saturday classes in the OLA Parish Centre are held in a fun and friendly atmosphere and are ideal for all skill levels.
All Singing Classes at Gabrielle Johnson Music will cover the fundamentals of singing including;
proper breathing technique
expressive movements, gestures and facial expressions
Junior Singing:
Fundamentals of singing in groups of 6-8 students
Combining real vocal and musical training with fun songs and activities that will make them think they're just playing games!
School aged children from 5-7 years
Fundamentals of singing in groups of 6-8 students
Each student learns to sing solo in front of the group to build confidence and performance experience.
Children from 8-16 years (as pictured above).
Fundamentals of singing in groups of 15-25 students
Working as a team to develop a choral sound (singing as one voice)
Harmony and ear training.
Gabrielle's group singing classes are particularly noteworthy as they cover a wide range of music styles including folk, rock, pop, contemporary and classical. Each class is tailored to the type of music the students would like to play.
Gabrielle also encourages her students to perform in front of an audience, and offers several opportunities throughout the year for students to participate in concert events for family and friends, as well as the wider community.
Enrolment for Term 2 starting Saturday 3 May for 7 weeks is now open and the class fee starts from just $15 per class.
