[ADVERT]If you're running out of weekend brunch ideas and craving good coffee then it may be time for a trip to The Grounds of Alexandria. Those who have been there before will be well aware of the massive crowds who flock there during weekends.
One can always opt for take-away and sit in the lovely courtyard with large tables or get there earlier to avoid the queues. Whilst waiting for a table you can also check out the chicken run, gardens and fresh fruit sale around the cafe.
As you walk into the cafe you'll see the take-away counter with a wide selection of pastries, cakes and yummy goodness. In the far back you can watch food being prepared in the kitchen through the large glass windows. Coffee lovers will not be disappointed with the wide selection available (filter coffee too).
On my last visit I tried the House-cured ocean trout with a fennel and herb salad, dill creme fraiche and scrambled eggs. The toast on the bottom of this combination was a bit difficult to cut through but otherwise really delicious.
