Loads on show at the Groove Train
Got a bunch of hungry, happy friends who want to enjoy themselves? Head down the Groove Train on the harbour. The Groove Train is a series of restaurants right across Melbourne; the one at Victoria Harbour is roomy and with great views of the waterways.
There's always seating, regardless of how big your group is. It's an extensive mixed menu with a vast array of dishes from woks and curries, pastas and risottos, wood fired pizzas, to a range of salads.
If you're gluten free, vegetarian, or have other dietary requirements, let the staff know and they can alter your meal.
I was after something fresh and green, so went for the Smoked Salmon Salad with baby cos leaf salad, chilled green beans, Kipfler potatoes, tomato, cucumber and black olives with egg, tossed in a whole grain mustard dressing. My friend had the Groove Nasi Goreng which included Indonesian style fried rice, shrimp sauce, prawns, beef, chicken, Asian greens, topped with a fried egg.
