Cheap groceries in Darra

Very much like Inala, Darra is like another little Vietnam in Brisbane. The grocery shops there contains the same typical Asian wet market look and musty smell that makes you wonder whether the snacks have hit their expiry dates. But of course, I do believe they do regular checks on their products to make sure everything is safe for consumption.

Grocery store #1:

Grocers can be found right outside the train station. Like any adequate grocer, you'd be able to find Asian (and Vietnamese) sauces, dried products, snacks, frozen food and perishables there.

Grocery store #2:

There are, of course, a few more grocery shops around the area. And if you walk further down, there's also a seafood market, fresh food market and a butcher around the corner.

Woolworths and ALDI supermarkets can be found at the nearby Monier Village, but that will also be 15-20 minutes walk away. So basically, it can get really daunting and cumbersome if you're about to do heavy grocery shopping without a car.

Still, this is another place where you'll be able to find good Vietnamese cuisine and cheap grocery in Brisbane!
