Grindhouse Specialty Coffee (formerly known as Grindhouse Espresso) is a hidden gem literally. It took me three trips to Stones Corner to finally locate them, tucked away in the corner of a laneway.

The name change indicates their dedication to specialty coffee beans and alternative brewing methods. I admit that I'm not a coffee connoisseur. I know what I like, end of story.

I like Grindhouse. My latte was perfectly presented and tasted terrific. They also dish up delicious danishes, muffins, and biscuits. The baristas are friendly, the decor is cool with coffee bean sacks adorning the walls and ceiling, and with free Wi-Fi this is the perfect place to hide away with your laptop. Hidden from the hustle and bustle of busy Logan Road, it's also great for catching up with friends.

I also admire how Grindhouse is trying to make a difference. Their takeaway cups are eco-friendly, they support local artists with their monthly Artist in Residence, and one hundred percent of their tips go to Kiva(a non-profit organization aiming to eliminate poverty).

Grindhouse is located at shop 9/360 Logan Road; down the alleyway next to Tuckeria Mexican Restaurant.

Their hours are as follows:
6:30 - 3:00 Monday - Friday
7:00 - 1:00 Saturday
7:00 - 12:00 Sunday
