Grilled Cheese Kitchen - Book Review
Mac - n - cheese in a grilled cheese? Seems a little crazy, but is delicious!
1. Mac - n - Cheese Grilled Cheese
Short pasta of your choice
1 / 2 tsp garlic powder
6 tbsp butter at room temp
Any shredded cheese
4 tbsp butter at room temp
1 tsp garlic powder
16 slices of sandwich loaf bread
8 slices Cheddar cheese
8 slices Monterey Jack or Colby Jack cheese
Chili Mac Grilled Cheese
Place a big dollop of chili on top of the mac-n-cheese before topping it with the Jack and the 2nd slice of bread.
2. Pizza - Wich
Can whole peeled tomato Italian
Red wine vinegar
Red pepper flakes (optional)
When pairing soup and grilled cheeses, think about complementary flavors and textures.
I like the above recipes a bunch but have a few differences.
For the Chili Mac Grilled Cheese, I would simply buy a can of chili. Then, prepare a grilled cheese. Next, just pour the can of chili on your grilled cheese. Delicious, yes?
For the Pizza-Wich, instead of preparing with a can of whole peeled Italian tomatoes, I would use diced tomatoes with green chiles. Delicious, yes?
For bread, I would use loaves of authentic Italian bread. Is money too tight? Use good ‘old-fashioned white bread!
