Take a stall; make some cash at Griffin Car Boot Sale
I love car boot sales mainly because the knick-knacks and treasures you find at them are completely different from items purchased at the usual Sunday markets. Items can be anything from the old screw driver that was bound for the dump but was thrown in the boot, and yet to the buyer, is just the size they require. Large or small, round or square it does not matter, what is your trash will certainly be another's treasure.
On Sunday 23rdJuly the Griffin State School P&C is holding a Car Boot Sale in the school grounds. Funds from the event will go towards resources for their newly built school. Griffin State School is completely new with its first stage completed for the commencement of the 2016 school year. In 2016 approximately 250 students enrolled and it is anticipated that around 800 students will be enrolled in the school by 2021.
Anyone wanting to be a seller is required to fill out the form on the Our Community page on the school's website or either email/mail to the Griffin State School P&C by 5.00pm on 21st July along with a fee of $20 per stall. Goods for sale must be contained within the site parameters with no hazardous or offensive items (e.g. weapons) are to be sold. The event is designed for second hand sales of good quality items by private stallholders, not commercial market stall businesses. Other items which are not allowed to be sold are birds or animals and pirated goods such as DVD's, clothing and CD's. No power is available on the day.
Stall holders are required to be at the school to set up between 7.00 am and 7.45am with the event commencing at 8.00am. Allocation of sites is by the discretion of the P&C representatives.
In the event of unsafe weather, the P&C will decide if the event should be cancelled and in that case all stall fees will be refunded. More information with regard to rules and regulations of this Car Boot Sale can be read on their website.
The school is a non-smoking and no dogs zone. The only dogs allowed on the school grounds are guide dogs. The market concludes at 12 noon and is free to all ages.
If you have too many clothes in your wardrobe and a house full of items you want to dispose of, don't waste your time advertising on social media when you can take a stall at the Griffin State School Car Boot Market and make yourself some extra cash.
